Record sales of Rotary Quiz

Record sales of Rotary Barnard Castle's popular annual Christmas  quiz were achieved this year, with over £1000 going into our charity account. The money will go to Shelterbox and Shelter Kits - the latter being used where a tent is not always the right shelter solution.

Rotarians and Friends of Rotary turned out, selling  the  quiz, for two Wednesdays on the market place, and for three days at the Bowes Museum Winter Market, although high winds on the last day forced many stallholders to pack up, or at least take shelter inside the museum and continue their sales efforts.

The quiz itself; this year's theme of Marine and Aquatic Animals, puzzled and perplexed, yet 10 entrants managed to get all 100 questions correct - 99 correct is just not good enough! All 10 winners will receive their £5 winners cheque through the post shortly.

You can find the quiz answers either on our website - Rotary Barnard Castle or on Facebook.

Thank you, everyone, for once again supporting this worthy cause.
