Pink for Polio awareness

As many of you know Rotary members, public health advocates and all who want a world free from polio come together on 24 October every year to recognise the progress made in the fight to end polio. Many buildings, bridges and historic buildings are lit up in purple and for the last few years we have worked with GSK and The Witham to light up their buildings.  Unfortunately this year both GSK and The Witham had last minute technical issues and this wasn't able to happen.  However, Roger Peat arranged for the Galgate Memorial Tree, the Post Office and the Market Cross to be lit up in purple.  Thank you to all involved for sharing polio awareness.
